Note: I have 21,500+ followers on Pinterest. Many of my pins are shared by 250 or more people. Some have been shared over 100,000 times. One pin has been shared over a million times. I think that means there’s something you can learn from me about Pinterest.

And Pinterest still drives 300 to 500 people to my websites every day!

Pinterest Question from Reader:

I have a question after going over your Pinterest report. Lets say I have 35 boards and about 400 followers. I am now trying to sell my astrological tote bags. I get a few people everyday that pin other people’s pins, and occasionally my astrology boards—which I have about 4. I have links to my blog on each one and still very few views. Now this is a long question…but having people check out my boards has done nothing in the way of getting business.  So what is it I have to do?

Pinterest Answer from John Kremer

Your pins must link to your website. That’s the only way you get traffic from Pinterest, not from the boards, but from the individual pins.

But remember what people are interested in while visiting Pinterest: food, fashion, fitness, fun, family, beautiful places, and inspirational quotes. Have any of your astrological pins – linked to your blog or website – focused on any of these seven topics?

  3. Hello from Montana– Thank you from the bottom of my artichoke heart. I appreciate your gift and acknowledge your generosity. Many times family and friends have asked that I give them copies of my books and I did. But it was not a pure gift, because I felt resentful that they would assume a sense of “entitlement” but did not acknowledge the hard work and training that had gone into the 137 page book.

The real kicker is that frequently they would admit they had not read the book I gave them so they could not write a review! Yikes.

You will see a small payment from me in your account. It does not equal your gift or effort, but it does say thanks.

    Judy Helm Wright,

    • Thanks, Judy.

The gift is really free. I just thought I’d add the addendum to give people a chance to say thanks.

It’s an experiment in sharing. I really don’t expect many payments.
