Author Success Story: Reinvigorating Book Marketing

Guest Post by Victor Villaseñor

Rain of Gold by Victor E VillaseñorAlthough I have been a successful author for 30 years plus, I didn’t realize how important the Internet was to staying in contact with my previous fans as well as new ones. After realizing this, I decided to get in contact with people who understood the Internet and digital media world and began closely working with that team to get my literary works out in the limelight again.

Thus far, it’s been a great success. I have increased the traffic to my newly revamped website and I have incorporated four major social media to my daily routine. All of this has helped to create a new synergy to my literary works that had been missing for several years.

Alongside these changes, I also have several book campaigns in the works: A revision of my bestseller Rain of Gold, which sold close to a million copies; a new book called Revenge of a Catholic Schoolboy that is forthcoming; and I have just provided all my loyal and new fans a free Kindle ebook and audio. Press releases on Rain of Gold and Revenge of a Catholic Schoolboy will be coming soon.

Getting proactive in the marketing side of things has been a godsend. It’s also put me back into the speaking and presentation circuit due to the higher energy that has been created by me and the team. It’s never too late to relook at strategies for how to best market your book or for staying on top of new technologies that are always ever changing.
