Pinterest and Magazines: Join in the Fun!

If you want to connect with major magazine editors, you might start by asking them if you can curate one of their Pinterest boards.

Conde Nast Traveler

That’s what blogger Aran Goyoaga (http://www.cannellevanille.com) is doing for Condé Nast Traveler magazine. Not only is she the author of Small Plates & Sweet Treats, but she is currently pinning to a fall deserts board on the magazine’s Pinterest page: http://www.pinterest.com/cntraveler/fall-desserts. This board has over 34,000 followers, triple the number of people who follow Aran’s own Pinterest profile.

Condé Nast Traveler also invited 5 bloggers to pin to their Souvenirs We Love group board at http://www.pinterest.com/cntraveler/souvenirs-we-love.

And, finally, they’ve invited Fig + Salt to pin to an exclusive board all about packable parties (with another 34,500 followers): http://www.pinterest.com/cntraveler/fig-%2B-salts-packable-party.

Check out Condé Nast Traveler’s other boards to see if there is one that you could pin to. And then ask them if you can pin. You can email them at letters@condenasttraveler.com.

Of course, you can check out the Pinterest profiles of other magazines and see if they have any boards you could pin on, especially any existing group boards.

Ask, and you often shall receive.
