Pretty Pins Versus Effective Pins

Nora Roberts pin quote

The above image pinned by novelist Nora Roberts is a beautiful image, but you can’t read the words when you view the image in the Pinterest timeline. Yes, it is possible to read the words when the above image is shared on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Instagram. But not on Pinterest. And probably not on any of the other social networks when accessing the image via smartphone. Note: 80 to 90% of all social media views are via smartphones.

Below is an image that will work on Pinterest and on smartphones.

Sea Swept excerpt by Nora Roberts

Nora Roberts Sea Swept Romance

Isn’t this a neat little excerpt from a novel? In just a few words, Nora Roberts sets up a relationship between a man and a woman. I love the last line: Listen to the suit. Dream about the perfume.

“You did that on purpose.”

“Did what on purpose?”

“Wore the don’t-touch suit and the sex goddess perfume at the same time just to drive me crazy.”

“Listen to the suit, Quinn. Dream about the perfume.”
