Guest Post by Jeff Davidson
So, you wrote a book! What can you be expected to answer, whether the questions come from a reporter, the marketing director from your publishing house, or anyone in between?
Here are 12 questions you need to be ready to answer:
- Tell us a bit about yourself, beyond what people read on the book jacket. For example, how did you get involved with the financial services industry (or whatever area your book covers)?
-
How might your book make a difference in a reader’s life, career, etc.?
-
What motivated you to write your book?
-
For whom is your book designed?
-
What are the three most important points you make within the book? Explain why they are so important.
-
Realizing that every author has space limitations, what do you wish you were able to include within the book, but couldn’t?
-
What changes in the industry/world have occurred (or do you foresee) that might affect what was written?
-
Can you share any stories (case studies) of where the book made a difference in someone’s life/business/health/
prosperity etc.? -
What are you most proud of—relative to the book?
-
What other books, courses, and programs have you produced?
-
Can you tell us about any other projects that you’re currently working on?
-
If someone were to recommend this book to a friend, what would be one thing that they could say?
