Here are some websites you can use to create a blog or website. These are great places to add blogs to connect to your main website even if you are not blogging at any of these sites regularly. The best way to host a website is to host it on your own URL like I do with BookMarketingBestsellers.com, using the WordPress software as the content management platform.
Blogspot: https://www.blogger.com/start — The host for my http://blog.bookmarket.com blog.
Movable Type: http://www.movabletype.com — Their software allows you to host your blog on your site.
Square Space: http://www.squarespace.com — Blogging and website hosting service. $8.00 per month personal or $18.00 per month for business.
Tumblr: http://www.tumblr.com — One of the most active and social blogging sites.
TypePad: http://www.typepad.com — $14.95 per month to host a blog.
Weebly: http://www.weebly.com — Free and premium blogs and websites.
Wild Apricot: https://www.wildapricot.com/easy-website-builder — Membership sites, regular websites, and more.
Wix: http://www.wix.com — Free and premium blogs and websites.
WordPress: http://www.wordpress.com. Offers hosted websites as well as blogging software via http://www.wordpress.org. The software is now used by over a million websites to host their content.
