Here’s a short interview I did with Mark Imperial and Bob Regnerus of Game Changers Radio: John Kremer on marketing your books and novels. Listen in by clicking the go button below:
Here are a few key points I make during this short 9-minute interview on marketing books and novels.
The best thing about self-publishing is that you have full control. The worst thing about self-publishing is that you have full control. That means you have to do the writing, design, publishing, marketing, and more.
People choose to self-publish for one of two reasons: 1) they have a passion they want to share, or 2) they are deluded (or simply oversold by people who promise them the stars).
In today’s world, you can self-publish for almost nothing via Kindle ebooks, iBooks, multimedia books, and print-on-demand.
Books are an incredible way to market anything: speaking, businesses, causes, and more.
The minute you write a book you become an expert. Then people take you seriously.
Once you have a published book, it opens many doors. It’s like a big business card.
Few authors get rich writing or publishing books. But many authors make good money writing a book that becomes the basis for a speaking career, a consulting practice, a growing business, a special cause, etc.
Only one in a thousand actors become rich or famous. Only one in a thousand singers become rich or famous. Only one in a thousand authors become rich or famous. But only authors have full control over their destinies and can make a good living building an empire from one or two books.
