While reading the December issue of Real Simple magazine, I noticed this quote from Lemony Snicket’s The Lump of Coal. I liked it so much that I created a graphic quote out of it so I could share it with all of you.
Note that one of its messages is clear: The holiday season is a good time to tell stories. Be sure to share some stories with your family and friends this season. That’s what writing books is all about.
It is a miracle if you can find true friends, and it is a miracle if you have enough food to eat, and it is a miracle if you get to spend your days and evenings doing whatever it is you like to do, and the holiday season—like all the other seasons—is a good time not only to tell stories of miracles, but to think about the miracles in your own life, and to be grateful for them. — Lemony Snicket, The Lump of Coal
Take time out today to give thanks for all the support your friends, family, and social networks have given you in writing and marketing your books.
