2011 book sales in the U.S. included $14 billion in trade book sales as well as $9.5 billion textbook sales and $3.3 billion professional and scholarly book sales.
During 2011, ebooks accounted for $2.1 billion (about 30%) of adult fiction sales – and adult fiction sales represented 97% of all ebook sales.
