Books Can Change People’s Lives

50 Shades of GreyHere’s an interesting item I found while reading Redbook Magazine.

Many women are reporting that reading Fifty Shades of Grey has made them feel like taking control in the bedroom – despite the book’s emphasis on sexual submission.

A study done in England reports that women had about three times more sex after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. And the aftereffects lasted as long as six months.

Now that’s incredible life-changing effects from reading just one book. Think of the lives you will change as you write and market your book.

That’s why most of us write: To change people’s lives.

Most of us don’t do it with sex. We do it with information, inspiration, education, entertainment, and enlightenment.

One other point: Isn’t it nice when you can get a university to promote your book by showing the benefits of reading it? I bet the women who read the article in Redbook bought a lot more copies of Fifty Shades of Grey.

  2. Hi John,
About 40 percent of the energy used in this country is used to heat and cool buildings in this country. By building our homes to substantially reduce the need for heating and cooling we can not only improve people’s lives by making their homes more comfortable and reducing their fuel cost, but they can also help to improve the environment by reducing fossil fuel emissions, and reduce the possibility of environmental accidents. In my latest book – “Prefabulous + Almost Off the Grid”, which was recently released, there are 32 examples of houses that have been built which vastly reduced the need for fossil fuel. This book has the potential to change individual lives but also those of the universe.
    Happy New Year to you!!!
